Some weeks ago when I started my journey at AMAL I never thought becoming a part of a trivial course can evolve your life and surroundings just by giving you a fresh perspective. But when you become a part of such a constructive circle everything starts to seem optimizing and you realize that it is not the period of time which we invest in a task but the extent of impact which it is making upon an individual and surroundings. Counter to my age mates I never had goals such as changing the world, making my voice heard or making a difference and I was just content with my life on loop , now I am here planning to build something which will facilitate the community. Before this conclave I have never come across such interactive and positive mentors/facilitators before and fellows so relatable and interactive with abilities and voids just like mine. This fellowship came out as a therapy I never knew I needed. In a world where everything is going topsy-turvy, it is good to acknowledge that there is a forum which is not just making the youth competitive and hungry for success but also hopeful, empowered as well as compassionate.

When I read the tips or creatively explained as Amal totkay, one thing that took me by surprise is that I apply most of these onto my life. I do talk to myself because I believe in quote by Lisa Hayes that “be careful how you are talking to yourself because you are listening” if you feed your mind negative thoughts your actions will follow or vice versa and I often try new things, since childhood I thought I was more of an outdoor person playing games, not wanting to come home and used to look at my sister with astonishment that how is she investing her free time in books sitting in a corner for hours and one day I decided to give it a try and since that day there is no going back I am hooked with reading. I learned that without giving anything a try don’t leave or assume that you don’t like it.

The next tip is to fake it till you make it. This is something I think everyone has done once in their life. We all try to become someone we are not actually at some stage of our lives so, we try to be that to some extent but continuation is the core which leads you to destination. So do not give up as one day you will adapt these traits you are practicing now without even realizing it.

So, it is a necessity to develop a yearning for knowledge and practicing it in every phase and task of life as you never know when life decides to teach you a new lesson and by whom ;)
